Eagles erase Black Hawk 11-1


Barneveld jumped out to a 9-2 first inning lead then waited until the fourth to add two more and dispose of Black Hawk 11-1 in five innings.
Chase Ignatius walked to start the game then raced home on a triple by Blake Hazen. Aiden Fishnick was then walked and he and Ignatius tried a double steal but Ignatius was thrown out at the plate.
Fishnick did not stay on base longas he scored when Quinn Dimpfl's batted ball was misplayed.
Gavin Fishnick then singled and a passed ball allowed both runners to move up. Trenton Owens walked to load the bases and Kasey Helgeson sent both Fishnick and Owens home with an rbi single. Helgeson promptly stole second, advanced on a passed ball then scored on anther ball past the catcher.
Tarek Mark walked, advanced on a passed ball, stole third and scored on a single.
Ignatius got to the plate for the second time in the inning and singled in Marx. He stole second and scored on a hit by Hazen. Hazen scored on Aiden Fishnick's rbi double.
The two runs in the fifth came on an rbi single by Brock Malin.  He drove in Gavin Fishnick who singled and Helgeson who had walked. Malin's safety ended the game by the 10 run rule.
Black Hawk scored their lone run in the third. They had two hits in the game.
Ignatius was 2x3 as was Hazen and Gavin Fishnick. Helgeson was 2x2 while Aiden Fishnick, Quinn Dimpfl and Brock Malin had one hit.
Helgeson went 2 2/3 innings for the Golden Eagles with six strikeouts, two hits and an unearned run.
Dimpfl issued a strikeout in 1/3 of an inning and Hazen went the last two with four punch outs.
