Steady and Fair

Dear Editor;
So, you probably know Judge Koehler is retiring as Iowa County Circuit Court Judge. Judge Koehler has helped guide our County with a "steady and fair hand" - we have been lucky to have had her help and hope she enjoys her retirement - thanks so much, Judge Koehler!
On April 5th, we will be electing a new Judge. One of the candidates is Matt Allen, with full disclosure, my son-in-law. Just a bit of history, Matt met my daughter, Meggan, while in law school at the UW Madison. upon graduation, they landed jobs, got married and started a family together. Meanwhile, Meggan introduced Matt to Iowa County, so in addition to falling in love with Meg, Matt fell in love with the McCaulley farm, the hills, valleys, and people of Iowa County.
Fast forward, Matt Allen has served Iowa County for 10 years as Assistant District Attorney, Corporation Counsel, and currently as Iowa County District Attorney.
In conclusion, I'm sure I'm blessed, but Matt is a great husband, father, son-in-law, and friend...and I'm told, a darn good lawyer -- smart, thorough, prepared, and caring. I think he'd make a very good Judge because he is a very good person, with a "steady and fair hand".
So on April 5th, please consider Matt Allen for Iowa County Circuit Court Judge.
Thank you very much,
Jim McCaulley
