Kickapoo finishes Iowa-Grant's season

The improving Iowa-Grant girls basketball team started strong but a second half fade against #3 Kickapoo ended the season for the Panthers 59-25.
The Panthers were within 10 at intermission but the second half saw the hosts pull away for the win
Carrie Neefe put in five three pointers and led Kickapoo with 17 points. Jayla Nagel added10.
Ashley Runde paced the Panther attack with nine.
"We played well for the first half, and kept it competitive even with a few hiccups," said coach Melissa Martinez. "Then the turnover monster took over the second half and Kickapoo capitalized on our mistakes. The difference on the scoreboard widened quickly."
Martinez said the Panthers never quit.
"We kept fighting but never recovered from our early miscues," Martinez said. "Teris Baker and Jackie Hawes finished their senior season on the floor and fellow senior Grace Lenz supported them from the bench due to an injury."
