Seven Pointers are off to state individual
12 Pointers competed in the Individual Sectional at Westby.
Taking first-place medals were Tarrin Riley, Kade Rule and Lucas Sullivan.
Finishing in second-place was Bo Hanson.
Third-place qualifiers were Roen Carey, Carson Kroll and Trapper Nafzger.
The seven wrestlers will head to the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament in Madison at the Kohl Center which starts Thursday and concludes Saturday night when 14 champions will be crowned in Division 1, 2 and 3.
Mineral Point coach Curtis Fiedler had this to say about the tournament.
"We got 7 through. We always want more, but I'm proud of the guys that we got through. I'm really excited to see them back at the kohl center."
