Dear Editor;
I just learned about this program: The Solar on Schools! It would be a great way for the Mineral Point School District to save tens of thousands of dollars. Through this program, the Merton School District in Waukesha County received over $100,000 in grants from the Couillard Foundation and from Focus on Energy to add solar to its two schools. Now that district saves $70,000 annually on energy costs.
I encourage our school district to investigate how it too can take advantage of this program to save money and to help promote a clean energy future.
