Eagles cold shooting spell costly against Pumas

When the shots don't fall earley and it begins to affect confidence it will probably be a long night on the basketball courts.
"We missed some easy shots early and seemed to be off all night," Barneveld girls basketball coach Chris Thousand said. "We got down and lost our confidence and when that happens we struggle making a comeback."
Poynette had just the opposite problem. Their shots were dropping and their shift in defense worked. It worked so well that they raced to a 73-30 win over the Golden Eagles Wednesday
"We did OK when they played us man to man but we really struggled with making adjustments when they switched to their zone," Thousand said.
Nikki Fahey led Barneveld with eight points.
Poynette's Hadley Walters had a big night for the Pumas with 29.
The Eagles entertain Black Hawk tonight in Six Rivers East play.
