Second half Arrow run too much for Dodger girls

Lancaster's girls basketball team started to put some distance between them and the host Dodgeville Dodgers midway though the first half.
The Flying Arrows had a 39-26 lead at the half. Then, five minutes into the second half and thanks to a 7-0 run the lead swelled to 20 and they held that margin almost the rest of the way to their way to a 66-48 win in SWC play.
Lainee Burkes started it with a three pointer then Tatiana Place scored on a drive. Anne Morgan made a free throw before Bridee Burkes added a pair of throws. Place finished the run with another driving layup where she squeezed past two Dodger defenders.
That made it a 20 point game.
Place ended up with 17 points to lead Lancaster while Sophie Uppena and Bridee Burkes both added 12.
Freshman Rylee Forsyth led Dodgeville with 12 points.
