Panthers put up first win of the season vs Parkview


AJ Jelle and Ashley Runde both had seven point the first half to help Iowa-Grant to a 21-17 halftime lead and Jelle added 10 the second half to help the Panthers to their first win of the season.
The Panthers went on a 26-16 run the second half to put away Parkview 46-33/ Jelle led the scoring for the Panthers with 17 points and Runde added 10.
"We broke through he wall and connected on more positive possessions on both ends of the floor," said I-G coach Melissa Martinez. "We also kept out turnovers at our lowest in our three games.
Martinez was impressed with the overall attitude the girls displayed.
"The girls showed some grit on the court and played team basketball,"Martinez added. "I was proud of their efforts. It was a good way to go into a short holiday break.:
