Confidence and Salesmanship

Dear Editor;
In August of 2019 Donald Trump was campaigning in Wisconsin and it was over two months before the 2020 presidential election.
He first announced at that time that if he lost the election, the reason would be because it was stolen. Of course that is what in his mind after that time which he perpetuated ever since even though there is no evidence to prove it. The interesting result of him continuing to repeat this brought many people to believe this.
Salesmanship training has always been based on one very important fact. That being if you present an idea while expressing a high level of confidence, it can become believable. Research has shown that if something has been stated 6 times, 62 percent of the time an idea will be accepted whether true or not.
That is what I would hope all people would stop and ask themselves if they are taking the time they should to think through what they believe passes the test of common sense or am I guilty of believing what I believe because I have heard something over and over again.
You have all probably heard the question of Pete and Repeat being in a boat and asked when Pete fell out who was left and the response was Repeat. Then it never ends from there.
Whether this is about a politician, the weather, or any idea presented to you. I hope that you always search out for the answer that may not always agree with, but don't become a victim of "stinkin-thinkin" or you may need to get a checkup from the neck up.
