Dodgeville/Mineral Point's boys soccer squad scored early and often and their eight goals were way too much for Monroe.
The Dodge/Pointers crossed the goal line four times the first half with Drew Hottenstein kicking in two goals an assisting on another.
Hottenstein added a goal and an assist the second half in a second four goal period.
First half scoring came at the following times.

-8:06 - Drew Hottenstein, assist by Jared Wedig
-27:30 - Owen McDonald, assist by Drew Hottenstein

The second half it was more of the same. The squad scored at:

-51:31 - Luke Unbehaun, assist by Drew Hottenstein
-61:12 - Owen McDonald, unassisted
-65:05 - Drew Hottenstein, unassisted
Monroe finally got on the board at 68:45 when Alessandro Chagoyaqa scored unassisted.
Monroe had five shots on goal and sophomore goalie Jake Scheckel stopped four of them. The goalie for the Cheesemakers stopped nine of 17 shots by Dodge-Point.
Dodge-Point coach Kyle Glynn was impressed with his team's outing.
"We played great soccer," Glynn said. "Our defensive line was solid the whole night with excellent shutdown defense by Ben Haakenson and Jared Wedig, as well as good runs up the sidelines by Hayden Bakken and Miles Houtakker. Zach Rochon and Tyler Bradley played excellent in the defensive midfield positions as a link to start our attack, and Luke Unbehaun, Owen McDonald, Brody Gregg and Drew Hottenstein were very creative in our attacks. Jake Scheckel played solid in his first varsity start at goalkeeper."
