Cards drop Shullsburg, big test tonight at Potosi

For the Highland volleyball team it was a happy Homecoming.
The Cardinals took their home court Thursday and quickly turned back Shullsburg to stay in first place with two matches left in the season. Highland had Cassville early in the week and now heads to Potosi tonight for, as they say, "All the Marbles." If they both take the same Six Rivers West record into tonight the winner will be the undisputed conference champion. Highland had an earlier season loss to River Ridge then beat Potosi to give them their lone blemish.
Thursday the Cardinals eased past the Miners 25-6, 25-14 and 25-18
"It was a nice win," said coach Maria Wineski. "It put us at 9-1 in conference play and we served 15 aces. It was a nice way to celebrate Homecoming. Even with all the Homecoming events the girls stayed focused."
