Dear Editor and fellow residents;
What are you thinking?
Do you care about our scenic rural community? Isn't that why we live here? Do you care about the Driftless Area? Do you understand the peace and serenity of living in a rural landscape? Do you know much about the Canadian owned Patterns windturbine project, sometimes called Uplands Wind? Do you know that this windturbine project would change the majority of Iowa and Lafayette Counties into an industrial land? Do you know that 172 windturbines, up to 700 feet tall, would dominate our daily lives? Do you understand how these windturbines would affect our health and the health of our environment forever? Do you understand how our laws have allowed this to happen? Do you think that the windturbines are our best "green" energy? Do you know that there is a better way?
Do you think there is nothing we can do to stop it?
I am flabbergasted that so
many people that really might care, still think that there is nothing we can do about it-----'and there is nothing we can do
IF WE DO NOTHING!
