Golf season underway for many

The Dodge Point Country Club hosted a high school invitational golf tournament on Saturday that featured 15 teams.
Barneveld, Argyle-Pecatonica, Dodgeville, Mineral Point, and River Valley were among the local schools that competed; Iowa-Grant elected not to participate.
When it was all said and done, Mount Horeb finished in first place as a team with a score of 332.
Mount Horeb's Ethan Wittman led the team with a mark of 81.
The Mineral Point Pointers placed second with an overall score of 345.
Ollie Mitchell led the Pointers with a score of 77 and Carson Kroll finished with 80. Alex Ross ended the day with a score of 89 followed by Spencer Workman with a 99.
Chandler Workman finished the day with an even 100.
Dodgeville placed third as a team with a mark of 362.
Tyler Bradley finished with a score of 83 for the Dodgers with Charlie Tremelling recording a score of 87.
Blake Peterson posted a 88, Joey Cerrutti 104 and David Pipkorn 105.
River Valley finished the day with a score of 373 and was led by Eli Johnson who scored a 83.
Ashton Peck had 95, Luke Snow 97, Jackson Thier 98 and Conner Fields 103.
Barneveld posted 461 as a team.
Scores were: Elle Pechan 104, Morgen Larson 111, Ryan Gust 118, Brayden Amble 118 and Brock Bigler 138.
The Argyle-Pec Vikings ended the day with a mark of 398.
Noah Krahenbuhl golfed his way to a score of 82 to carry the Vikings.

3rd Flight: Lombardo 83, Ross 89, Berns 93
4th Flight: Albrecht 86, Peterson 88, Rohou 95

1st position champion: Noah Kirsh, Lancaster 70
