Hold on, we're almost there

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines 'perserverance' as a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.
The concept of perserverance can apply to many things, and it starts at many stages of our lives. Perserverance may be a young child learning how to tie their shoes for the first time, regardless of how big the "bunny ear" of the shoe lace is, and how many times it took to cross one shoelace over the other and tighten as they typically would when starting to tie their shoes.
It may look like a child learning how to ride a two wheeled bicycle for the first time. I'm 30 years old and I still struggle, although it's been years since I've been on a bike. Regardless of the crashes, spills, and elbow scrapes, children find a way to stay on the bike and have the time of their life.
Perserverance might be a key word for this past year. A year ago, there was no clue as to where we would be without the vaccinies. A year ago, we didn't know if they would even exist.
Because of perservering and adhering to CDC and Iowa County Health guidelines, we are doing a lot better. In fact there was a day this week, where there were 0 active cases, which unfortunately turned into 6 later on in the week. Regardless we still have low cases
However, we need to keep going. We are not quite done with the vaccinations, so it is important to not throw caution to the wind just yet. We will be maintaining and sharing communications from the Iowa County Health Department.
It was reported Tuesday that 42% of our county's residents have received at least one dose, over 16,000 of our county's population. In fact I receive my second one this coming Tuesday.
We are almost there, let's just keep perservering.
