Dear Citizens of Mineral Point,
This letter is to inform you of a specific topic that was brought before the Mineral Point School Board Meeting this past Monday night, March 8, 2021. The issue was to pass a Transgender Policy for The Mineral Point School District. The school board members discussed this issue at length without coming to a decision. It was decided that before this policy could be voted on it needed further review and discussion. The school board voted to move the Transgender Policy from the voting agenda back to a discussion agenda. This was put to a vote with all voting school board members voting yes. The Transgender policy will be up for discussion at the next school board meeting Monday April 12, 6:30 p.m.
You have an opportunity to share you views and concern with each board member by going to the Mineral Point School District web site and bringing up school board members. You will find individual e-mail addresses and phone numbers for each member. You may contact the members individually and also by attend the next board meeting Monday, April 12, 6:30 p.m. in the Mineral Point High School Library
