How this will change our county for future generations

Dear Editor;
As an Iowa County landowner, I am very concerned with the proposed Pattern LLC. wind farm. The public needs to be informed how this project will forever affect our land, friends, neighbors and animals. The County Board should be hosting informational meetings so people can understand what a huge project this is. This is not about who gets the money but about how this will change our county for future generations.
Our county has an outdated wind ordinance that needs to be updated. It seems that the board members are dragging their feet with this issue. Our county deserves protection that an updated ordinance will provide.
Please call/write to your supervisor before it's too late. The population of Iowa County is over 23,000. How can we let a small percentage of this population change our landscape for the next 40+ years?
We don't know all the effects these wind turbines will have on our own health or even that of our animals. With this project our land values will go down and the profits will not be local. The power created by these turbines will be sent to the grid and not benefit the local population. Iowa county residents need to be informed before this project takes place. The county board needs to do their part in protecting our citizens. ALL citizens in Iowa County should be given a a vote for this project not just the landowners that have signed contracts.
