My son and I had a nice, positive interaction with a Dodgeville Police Officer yesterday and I thought it would be nice to put it in the Chronicle to celebrate:
Thank you Officer Andrews of the DPD!
On Tuesday, June 29th as my four year old son and I were out and about enjoying the nice evening in Dodgeville (he on his bike and me on foot), Officer Andrews of the Dodgeville Police Department pulled up and engaged us in a nice conversation. He then proceeded to reward my son for wearing his bike helmet with a token for a frozen custard from Culver's. What a wonderful gesture by Officer Andrews to build positive rapport with members of the community and promote safe choices for our youngest citizens. My son rarely is able to finish an entire serving, though - so I will probably have to help him!
