I loathe what occurred Jan. 6, 2021, at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. The insurrection stained the floors of the Capitol, destroyed parts of the building, and caused people to die. The sanctity of the Capitol's chambers was invaded. I am angry at those who destructively attempted to halt the formal certification of electoral votes for the presidency.
We are fighting two battles in the U.S. right now, the pandemic and white supremacy extremists. Do factions of white supremacists exist in the U.S.? Yes! Will someone claim the events Jan. 6 were part of a fake news conspiracy? Perhaps.
I will never support or condone the philosophy of hatred white supremacists or other extremist factions embrace. Enough said.
