Dear Editor;
On behalf of one of the families affected by the recent apartment fire in Montfort, I would like to express my deep appreciation to the community for their immediate response to help them.
Thank you to the Fire Department, to the Iowa-Grant School for making sure the children went to school next morning, had all the resources they needed and felt safe.
Thank you to the SWCAP organization, specially the Food Pantry for providing the family with food and other necessities, to the faith communities of Montfort and Dodgeville for securing furniture, clothing, appliances and to the many other individuals that called to ask how to they could help the families affected.
I am grateful to all who helped these families resume normal life after such a traumatic experience. I am humbled by the compassion shown - love knows no barriers.
