Kriss Marion got my vote

Dear Editor:
I recall first meeting Kriss Marion at a Farmers' Market in Argyle. She was selling her home grown vegetables, and as I perused her goods we chatted. She was so friendly and knowledgeable, but more impressively, she was interested in learning about her customers and about their concerns. This took place several years ago, before she ever attempted to run for any office. She is simply a very caring person, and a giving, generous person.
After that, she was one of several presenters for Lafayette County's Home and Community Education session for the entire county on local ventures in selling home grown products, both animal and garden type arrangements. This was something new in this area, and drew the interest of many people.
I have since witnessed her work on the Lafayette County Board. She is not partisan, but works with everyone, regardless of political leanings. That is one big reason why we need her in the Wisconsin State Legislature. We have seen several stark examples of the Republican legislative leadership's unwillingness to work with Governor Evers, but even in our dangerous time of a raging pandemic and racial injustice, they have sought actively to oppose his every action to do something on the public's behalf. Even Kriss Marion's opposing candidate, now in the Assembly, has not strayed from blindly following the Republican leadership in this.
This is the kind of action which yields nothing good. We need people who will sit down and talk with people from both sides, and help to reach a solution which will help to carry Wisconsin Forward, not remain in a quagmire.
I have mailed my absentee ballot and cast my vote for Kriss Marion for Assembly. I encourage you to do likewise.
