D-P United wins by mercy rule

Dodge-Point United rolled to its second mercy rule win in boys soccer action, this time a 10-0 route of Prairie du Chien.
The win comes right after a 10-0 win Tuesday over Richland Center.
But the competition gets stiffer quickly when the Dodge-Pointers head to Platteville/Lancaster Monday. They follow that with a meeting with River Valley Tuesday and a home match Thursday with Viroqua.
Thursday the United squad saw three players score a pair of goals on the way to the win. The D-P squad put in seven goals the first half then got three the second half with the match ending at 28:23 on Yonael Navarro's second goal of the night off an assist by Cooper Elsner. Navarro got into the net earlier on a goal with help from Zach Bisbach at 13:58.
United got started at 4:11 when Malachi Strompolis scored on an assist by Owen McDonald. Drew Hottenstein followed with the first of his two goals when he scored unassisted at 4:48.
After Navarro scored, Hottenstein struck again at 19:51 unassisted.
Zach Bisbach got his first of two goals unassisted at 21:00. McDonald hit his goal at 36:26 followed by a second goal by Bisbach at 4:31.
Drew Latterell opened the second half with help from Bisbach for a goal at 5:33. At 6:53 Sam Sims took a pass from McDonald and scored.
Navarro completed the 10 points with his score at 28:23.
Goalie Zach Breuer was tested only once and stopped the Blackhawks' shot.
"We were able to get some good shots tonight," said coach Kyle Glynn. "But the competition will get stronger very fast."
