Social distancing and reporting during an unknown time
By Kasi Greenwood-kgreenwood@thedodgevillechronicle.com
I watched News 3 yesterday and saw that Iowa County native Leah Linscheid is playing it safe and working from home. After a good discussion with Publisher Pat Reilly, I will be doing the same.
Now please note, I am still feeling well and am not showing any symptoms (fever, chills, headache or shortness of breath), but I am taking steps to ensure that I don't fall ill and risk spreading it to others. From what the news is saying, people are carriers but they may not necessarily become sick with it.
That said, I am not going to take any chances.
There is a lot of uncertainty right now, but one thing is for sure, The Dodgeville Chronicle and its sister papers will be doing whatever it takes to safely put out our weekly papers.
The way we cover news may be different for sometime, but the paper will still be in your mailbox or on newsstands regardless.
Staff members have agreed to keep the front door shut to protect customers and employees. The office number is 608-935-2331 if anyone needs anything.
For the next few weeks, I will be primarily working from my home and at times will have to conduct phone interviews for stories. My email is greenwoodkas@gmail.com, and Pat Reilly's email is dodgechronsports@gmail.com. These best email to get ahold of us for news and feature stories is news@thedodgevillechronicle.com.
Please be safe, and took good care of yourselves. Check in with your family, friends and neighbors. It is an uncertain time, but I am confident we will cross the finish line.
