Dear Editor,
I certainly like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. I believe Americans' goal should be that everyone has health care. Denmark, Norway and Sweden have many social programs, and they certainly are not communist countries. They are also among the happiest people in the world. Some folks say a socialist is a communist, and that certainly is not true. One of my favorite presidents quote over 150 years is Abraham Lincoln's quote:
"The legitimate object of government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done, but cannot do at all, or cannot so well do, for themselves - in their separate and individual capacities."
