The information is HERE

There has been a lot of discussion this past week about how to obtain information about potential decisions that may affect your way of life.
More specifically the community of Ridgeway was stunned when the Dodgeville School Board set a meeting in their community to discuss what to do with an expected drop in enrollment throughout the district. Because the building housing Ridgeway Elementary School was built in 1939 and faces huge financial needs to stay in operation one of the options was is to close the school and absorb the students in the facilities on the Dodgeville campus.
There was warning this was a possibility when Tom McGraw from the school board who lives near Ridgeway told the board there is a possibility of the district losing 100 students over the next four years. In short, that translates into losing a lot of money.
He told the board about the potential drop at the February meeting. After that, a meeting of the Building and Grounds Committee was scheduled and posted to be held in RES where the enrollment and RES maintenance issues could be addressed.
Point #1--The enrollment issue was headlined in The Dodgeville Chronicle in February.
Point #2--The notice of the meeting at RES was published in The Dodgeville Chronicle the week prior to the actual meeting.
When people say they do not have information, maybe it is because they discount the fact that there is a newspaper that covers their district, their board, their unit of government and then lay what is done out in story form for people to read and digest.
The information is there, but you have to know where to look.
The newspaper is not a facebook post, an instagram message, a tweet...it is a collection of stories for you to read and digest.
Take a look at the paper. You may be glad you did.
