I forgot to mention a very important part of the Arena Fisheree last week in my coverage of it. The Fisheree is actually sponsored by the Wildlife Forever ATV Club. They put a lot of effort into this event in gathering prizes, volunteers, sponsors and getting kids to come and fish!

Our Saturday morning breakfast took us to Stroz's Inn that is located in downtown Hollandale. Bob, Terry and I went together from Dodgeville while Dewey Christoph came from Mount Horeb, Dave Stone from north of Mount Horeb and Dave Whitford from just outside of Hollandale. Jen, the owner, took our orders and then proceeded to go and cook them. She was relieved by her daughter Allison, who took care of us the rest of the meal. Ironically I took photos of Jen (Strozinsky) when she was a catcher for the River Valley High School Softball Team and also her daughter Allison (Dougherty) when she was a catcher for the Dodgeville High School Softball Team! I've been somewhat of an omelette guy as of late and it was loaded with veggies and good!

A big congratulations to a pair of conference champions this season. The Mineral Point Girls Basketball Team tied with Cuba City with 13-1 records (they split) to win the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League (SWAL)! The Dodgeville-Mineral Point Gymnastics Team went unbeaten in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference (SWC) during the dual meet season and also won the conference meet!

Yesterday (Wednesday) was Ash Wednesday so that started the Lenten Season. That means no more "sweets" for me for six weeks. That doesn't mean that I won't get any more hugs from my usual "huggers" - I hope because they are my "sweets"!!
