End political gerrymandering
Time is running out for Wisconsin to end political gerrymandering and implement a fair and transparent process for drawing new voting districts based on the 2020 census. Proposed legislation in both houses of the Wisconsin legislature (AB303, SB288 and LRB-3739) calls for a nonpartisan, transparent, fair and inexpensive process for drawing voting districts. Please contact your legislators and urge them to support this legislation. Fifty counties and 72% of Wisconsonites support Fair Maps. Gerrymandering increases political polarization, diminishes the impact of individual votes and is economically expensive. Fair Maps is a simple democratic process that helps curb corruption in government.
