We received a note and update from Dodgeville graduate Randy Severson, who resides down south in Florida. He wrote: "Hi Pat and Mike: Time to sign up for another year and get that FREE month! Am getting caught up with my Chronicle every year because of Snow Birds and the holidays. They take a round about trip here. I have gotten them with adds from the Carolinas a month late. I just got November 21. Have been following Mineral Point football and that was the week they lost. I said to best friend Roger Meudt these Point teams remind me of Dodgeville's 63 & 64 teams. Roger said they have to win a state championship to get in that league. Stay warm. Randy Severson."

It's Sunday night and I'm pretty tired. I made it to the Dodger Bowl for the Lions and Lioness FREE Community Breakfast before it began at 8 a.m. that day. It ended at noon after running out of scrambled eggs and having to go to the store to get more. We served over 300 people. It was busy and great! I haven't gotten a donation total yet as to what will be given (all proceeds) to the Dodgeville Food Locker, but the bucket was packed! Thank you community!

I stuck around Dodger Bowl for the 3rd Annual Bowl with the Dodgers that happened between 1 and 3 p.m. The turnout of high school kids was great but the youngsters to bowl with them was down considerably. We're looking for ways to get more youngsters there next year!

The Dodgeville Area Chamber of Commerce is still looking for Food Truck Vendors to help serve people at the Wisconsin Grilled Cheese Championships on Saturday, April 25. There could be some 4000 people there, so help us out! Also we need more competitors especially the Professional category. Check us out online and enter!

I'm featuring a photo above of a very good friend and ambassador for the Dodgeville area - Ron Dentinger. He recently re-posted this photo of him. My post back to him at one time was "Now you know why I call you 'The Great Renaldo"!

Brother Patrick and I were at the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Banquet Saturday noon at the Marriott Inn on the west side of Madison/Middleton. We received the "Media Man of the Year" awards! It is a statewide honor - we feel very honored!

Good luck to wrestlers from Mineral Point, Iowa-Grant/Highland, Pecatonica-Argyle, Dodgeville and River Valley who made it through their tough regionals and now wrestle at Westby (D3) and Evansville (D2) this Saturday to earn a trip to the State Individual Championships the following week!
