Iowa-Grant's girls basketball team had problems with Fennimore's defense Monday and were tripped up by the Golden Eagles 62-21 in a battle of SWAL opponents.
The pressure defense the Panthers faced force 30 turnovers and the Eagles stole the ball 22 times. They also limited the Panthers to six of 24 shooting for 24%.
Ashley Runde led the Panthers with 11 points and buried a pair of three pointers. Fellow sophomore Julie Searls added five points. Runde snared five rebounds and Searls two.
The Nelson sisters led the Eagles in scoring with freshman Braycee netting 15 and senior Brynlee adding 13.
The Faulkner sisters also complemented each other with senior Clare and sophomore Sophie both putting up 11 points
