Cubans score big in win over Pointers


Brayden Dailey put up 20 of his game high 31 points the first half to double up the Pointers as the Cubans rolled to a 80-44 win in a SWAL match-up Tuesday.
The Cubans also got double figures from Carter Olson who managed 12.
The Cubans held a 44-22 halftime lead and coasted to the finale.
Dom McVay led the Pointer effort with nine points and Joah Filardo added seven.
"Dom gave us a spark right before half and did some good things tonight," said Pointer coach Dan Burreson.
Burreson added that Bodie Bossert provided some solid minutes also.
"We need to learn from tonight and get better," Burreson said, "We are still a work in progress."
The Cubans are the top ranked team in the state in WIAA Division 4.
