Iowa-Grant/Highland wrestlers built a 22-10 lead early in the upper weights, but SWAL power Fennimore eventually came away with a 43-28 in the opening match for both teams during the 2020-21 COVID season
"It was a great atmosphere, but it definitely seemed like we were missing out on some fans," said Iowa-Frant/Highland coach Ryan Allen.
He added, "We weren't missing anyone but did not have our strongest line up due to the fact that we just had our fat test and we can't get everyone down to the weights where we need them yet."
About the wrestlers having to be masked up Allen said, "The masks were a non-issue for both teams. We wore them because we had to and it obviously made things more uncomfortable but we made it work. It was great to see the boys back on the mats and I am looking forward to the rest of the season."
