Trump - pollution ahead of American families

Dear Editor:
Last week, President Trump kept another awful promise: he rolled back the National Environmental Policy Act gutting protections upheld for 50 years with bipartisan support.
In an Orwellian understatement, what Trump just calls "updates" means that it will be easier and quicker to rush ahead on big polluting projects without taking time to consider local and global environmental consequences like climate change (think pipelines).
Fact: This action puts pollution ahead of American families, clean air and water, federal lands, forests, and climate. I do not understand how he can just get rid of these protections without acts of congress.
