"At the Mt. Horeb Invite there is a little different format. There are only 2 races - boys JV and Varsity followed by girls JV and Varsity. It is a nice opportunity for all the teammates to run together in a larger meet." said Dodge-Point coach Denny McGraw.
He talked about the teams saying, "The boys varsity came out strong with Henry Keith and Will Aurit placing 2nd and 3rd place. These two runners worked very hard all summer to be in great shape and running well. Mentally they are very tough and that is important in this sport.
"Charlie Keith and Joey Robinson are two freshmen who are making great strides as they improve each week. They finished 9th and 13th.
"Chandler Williams, Abel Logueflower and Cal Dampf finished out the varsity team. We are a young team but we are looking forward to seeing what they all can do.
"The girls varsity finished 5th with Julia Thompson leading the way with a 7th place finish. Julia is a freshmen that is very enjoyable to watch and we expect her to keep improving each week.
"Chloe Oberhauser, Haylee Kearns, and Emily Cody finished in a pack, pushing each other along the way. Amanda Ludwig, Livia Winch and Brittany Thompson finished out the varsity team."
