Shullsburg handles the Cardinals

Shullsburg's volleyball team is ranked and that has not been good news for Six Rivers West opponents.
But they are not invincible as the Highland girls proved Thursday.
Shullsburg won the match 3-1 but the Cardinals were able to hand them one blemish in the second set. Scores were 16-25, 25-21, 18-25 and 20-25.
"Shullsburg is a good team, but we didn't help ourselves out with too many unforced errors," said coach Maria Wineski.
The Lady Miners have some power in the middle with 5-11 junior middle hitter Kayla Klotz and the Cardinals spent much of the match in a battle with her. Katelyn Mueller had six blocks against Klotz and also added eight kills.
Rachel Miller led the Cardinals in kills with nine while adding two blocks and two aces.
Grace Pustina was the assist leader with 17 and contributed a pair of aces.
Digs leader was Macey Kraisinger with 15 and she also had an ace.
"In conference, that puts us at 3-1 and we face Cassville tomorrow night," Wineski said. "Hope the girls can stay up, confident, and focused during Homecoming week."
