The "Amigos" went to Saturday breakfast at Spring Garden in Mount Horeb. It was a day that good friend (and sometimes breakfast partner) Dennis Kopps said it was his turn to buy, and he did just that. Terry Carroll, Bob Kratochwill and I took Dennis to the breakfast spot to meet Dave Stone and Dewey Christoph along with Dennis's sister Kathy and her husband. After a good breakfast and some very good conversation, Dennis left with his relatives to spend the weekend. He even had his bowling ball with him!

Just down the road, the weekend of October 18-20, is the annual Fall Art Tour that stretches from Baraboo to Mineral Point and all stops in between - and back again. There are some pretty talented artists in Spring Green and around Dodgeville, Highland and Ridgeway. If you haven't taken the time to check some of these artists out, it's worth it!

There's still time to sign up to sponsor and take part or buy a ticket to sample. Friday, October 18 is the Dodgeville Chamber of Commerce sponsored "Off the Vine." This is a Wine Walk that leads you to a group of businesses throughout downtown Dodgeville. Businesses are currently being signed up for the event and tickets are on sale at the chamber of commerce building. To be a part of it contact the chamber at 935-9200. This is always a "fun" event!

Saturday, October 26 is the 2nd Annual "Trunk or Treat" festival in Dodgeville. It will be right outside of the Dodgeville Chronicle building in the courthouse parking lot. You can still get your vehicle and a game ready for the event. Just contact the Dodgeville Chamber of Commerce at 935-9500. There will be a "Haunted House" in the basement of the Congregational Church right next door too!

Believe it or not the long range forecast is for no rain over next weekend. Then not for at least three more days! I don't know if that will change by the time the weekend arrives, but it sounds pretty good right now!
