Spartans end season for Dodgers

The Dodgeville volleyball team progressed up the ladder in their matches with McFarland Thursday but it wasn't enough.
The Rock Valley champions and number two seeded Spartans stormed to a 25-3 win in their first set then rolled past the Dodgers 25-11 and 25-18.
"They played us at a very fast pace and we were not used to that," said Dodgers coach Nicole Hottmann. "We struggled the first two sets but we played like we can in the third one."
JoJo Heimerl had four kills for the Dodgers with Anna Ruhland and Olivia Argall adding three each. Argall and Ruhland both had a block and Grace Borne dished out 10 assists.
Freshman Lucy Heimerl was the ace leader with two and Alyssa Alfred had four digs.
