Important meetings/hearings soon on transmission lines

Dear Editor:
The first of the three intervenor-sponsored public information meetings about the new reports will be held on Saturday, June 1 at the Platteville Public Library from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The second meeting is Saturday, June 1 at the Grant County Fair Grounds in Lancaster from 6 to 8 p.m. The third meeting, also at the fairgrounds in Lancaster is on Saturday, June 8th starting at 1 p.m and continuing into the evening with spaghetti beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Non-Transmission Alternatives have been selected over expansion transmission lines in several states in large part because of flat energy use and record turnouts at public hearings. The last, crucial opportunity for Wisconsin citizens to address Cardinal Hickory Creek will be at such Public Hearings on June 25, 26 and 27. On June 25th, the Hearings in Lancaster at the County Fairgrounds will start at 2 p.m.and 6 p.m. On June 26th, the Hearings in Madison at the Public Service Building, 4822 Madison Yards Way, will start at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. On the 27th, the Hearings at Dodger Bowl, 321 King St, Dodgeville will begin at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Contact Gloria Belken at 608-553-2544 for more information.
If you have been wondering when the opportunity will come to state your opinion, this is it.
