Barneveld's softball team committed only two errors Thursday but one of them ended up costing them the game.
Potosi scored two runs in the top of the sixth, the winning run crossing the plate on an error. That erased the one run lead the Golden Eagles had taken in the bottom of the third when Grace Gordon scored for Barneveld.
The game was a well pitched gem by Potosi's Jayden Noonan and Grace Gordon for the Eagles. They also both doubled for their teams.
Noonan struck out six and walked only one. She spaced five hits and the run that scored was unearned.
Grace Gordon gave up four hits and a pair of runs, one earned. She struck out seven and walked two.
Grace Gordon was 2x2 for Barneveld while Leah Marx, Emma Gordon and Sycorral Vasquez all had one hit.
The Eagles outhit the Chieftains 5-4.
