Highland pitcher Grace Pustina was not in a giving mood Tuesday when the Cardinals entertained Prairie du Chien in a non-conference softball game.
Pustina spent all seven innings on the mound against the Blackhawks and tossed a two hit shutout to lead her team to a 3-0 early season win. She fanned eight.
Olivia Welsh paced the offense with two hits and sent in two runs.
