Lemanski tops SWC gymnasts


Dodgeville/Mineral Point junior Miah Lemanski finished in the top spot for All-Around in the SWC All-Conference Gymnastics final selections this season.
She also had the top average in two of the four events and was second in the other two, giving her five first team spots.
Lemanski's average in All-Around was 35.7083, edging River Valley/Barneveld freshman Lorisa Shatrawks narrowly, who had a 35.500 score.
Lemanski's gained other first team honors when she had the top score in the vault at 9.0167 and on beam with 9.0417.
Again Shatrawka was runner-up in both at 8.5833 on vault and 9.0333 on beam.
Lemanski was runner-up to junior teammate Tessa Bockhop on bars 8.6583 to 8.6167
Shatrawka was third with 8.3333.
Shatrawka took the top spot on floor with 9.325 with Lemanski next with 9.0833.
Other Dodge-Point finishes were, All-Around: Bockhop 1st team 3rd 33.0583, 2nd team 1st Elle Honerbaum 32.225, Honorable Mention Emma Steffes 31.1333; Vault: 1st team 3rd Bockhop 8.3583, 1st team 4th Honerbaum 8.300, 2nd team 4th Steffes; Bars: 2nd team 4th Steffes 7.6833, Honorable Mention Honerbaum 7.400; Beam: 1st team 5th Honerbaum 8.2167, 2nd team 4th Bockhop 7.6917, Honorable Mention Steffes 7.575; Floor: 2nd team 2nd Honerbaum 8.4917, 2nd team 3rd Bockhop 8.350, Honorable Mention Emma Berg 8.0417, Emma Steffes 8.0333.
Another River Valley freshman, Sofia Sanftleben was 1st team 5th in All-Around at 32.3583. She was 2nd team in every event having 8.1917 on vault, 7.8667 on bars, 8.2083 on beam and 8.24127 on floor.
The other All-Around 1st team spot went to Southwestern/Cuba City/Benton junior Cilla Downs 33.050.
Also named to the Division 2 All-State team were: Miah Lemanski - 1st Team All-Around; Tessa Bockhop - 1st Team Uneven Bars;Elle Honerbaum - Honerable Mention All-Around; Emma Steffes - Honerable Mention Uneven Bars.
