It's supposed to warm up into the 20s mid week and then into the 30s, but the following week there's a chance of snow every day!!!

Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 a.m. That means it's "spring" forward an hour! Easter is only six weeks away, but it is late again this year.

It must be closer to spring because the Dodgeville High School "Spring" play will be this Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. at the high school gymnasium. It sure will be nice when the auditorium is built!

Congratulations to the Dodgeville-Mineral Point gymnastics team. They finished 7th in Division 2 at state last weekend with a very respectable score. There are a few teams that just don't seem to be beatable, like Whitefish Bay, who took the top spot. Great job by the Dodge-Point team! Above you can see some of the Dodge-Point team "high fiving" after they just finished their vaulting event. From left to right are: Assistant Coach Todd Oellerich, Emma Steffes, Miah Lemanski (walking away), Elle Honerbaum, Emma Berg, Coach Julia Oellerich and Tessa Bockhop.

All of our coverage area teams have bowed out of their state basketball tournament hopes. The Mineral Point girls lost a tough one to #1 La Crosse Aquinas in the Division 4 Sectional finals Thursday night. The Mineral Point, Barneveld and Pecatonica boys teams all lost in their Division at the Regional finals level. Good seasons were had by all teams!

Friday was our monthly DHS Class Reunion as the Red Room. It was graduate Mary Rowe's 75th birthday and she was given a huge card and some flowers from John Lucas and a cake came all the way from Milwaukee courtesy of her brother, Tom. We had a decent crowd of some 20 people. Mary is one of the best female athletes to come out of DHS!

One of my buddies and lunch partners Dan Roble fell about a month ago due to a loose piece in the sidewalk in Mineral Point. He has a neck fracture and is rehabilitating at Ingleside in Mount Horeb. He never takes "the Amigos" up on our Saturday morning breakfasts since he says it's too early for him. Now that he has been used to early morning rises, maybe when he is ready maybe he will join us! Hurry back home soon Dan!
