It's "officially" winter
By Kasi Greenwood-kgreenwood@thedodgevillechronicle.com
Winter has officially kicked off, and it's important to remember one thing: it's only just beginning and we have a couple more months of it. There are many things that still can be done to stay safe during the winter. Pay close attention to the weather stations and take them seriously. While there are many that have years of experience driving during Wisconsin's winters, there are many who don't. If you don't feel comfortable getting on the road, by all means don't unless you HAVE to. Take it extra slow and always have winter gear in your car and your cell phone charged in case something happens-going off the cell phone portion, don't be on the phone when driving. It's not worth it. Also check on your neighbors, and see if they're comfortable. Offer to shovel the neighborhood's sidewalks if you can.
There are so many things that can happen during winter, but do what you can to be sure that only good things happen then.
