Isaac Lindsey scored 34 points to lead the Mineral Point boys basketball team to a 94-69 win at Boscobel In SWAL action Friday night.
Lindsey hit six three pointers and went 10x10 from the free throw line on the night. He had 20 points in the first half when the Pointers took a 49-35 lead.
Lindsey was joined in double figures scoring by Liam Stumpf with 18, Wes Berget with 16 and Garrett Wendhausen with 11. Wendhausen was 7x7 from the line Stumpf scored 15 of his points in the first half.
The Pointers hit 13 two pointers and 13 three pointers.
"This team moves the ball about as well as any team I have had," said Pointer coach Dan Burreson. "They do a great job making the extra pass and looking for each other. Again we have four guys in double figures tonight and another with seven. Our assist numbers speak for themselves: Garrett Wendhausen with 6, Blaise Watters with 5, Isaac Lindsey and Liam Stumpf with 4 apiece."
"Isaac Lindsey played very well," the coach added. "He did his damage from beyond the arc early, but then did a great job taking the ball to the basket, and was perfect from the line. Liam Stumpf continues to shoot the ball well and does a great job finding open areas and getting ready to shoot."
He also said, "Garrett Wendhausen another big night on the boards with 13 and completed another double double with 11 points. Wes Berget a really solid night with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Blaise Watters continues to play well in a starting role on both ends of the floor."
"We had great minutes off the bench from Grant Bossert, Joah Filardo, Justin Baehler along with Grady Gorgen who came in and knocked down a 3, just like he has been in practice recently.
"Our guys continue to play hard and play well together."
Boscobel also had four players reach double digits. They were led by Mitchell Davis with 13 points.
Rylee Bray, Jake Davidson and Daryen Heise all had 11 points.
