James helps power Pointers over Chieftains

Morgan James had a career night and put some distance between the Pointers and Riverdale early while helping her team to a 68-29 win in the SWAL Thursday.
James had 18 points with her 10 the first half helping the Pointers to a commanding 41-14 lead over the Chieftains. She was one of three Pointers in double figures as McKenna Reichling got loose for 11 and Nicole Johnson 10.
The James/Johnson inside combo was too much for the Chieftains.
When it came to outside shooting the Pointers got a pair of threes from Mallory Lindsey and Ella Chambers.
And, Reichling kept the show going which helped the Pointers cruise to the win.
Riverdale was playing under an interim coach as Scott Mau has stepped away from the program.
