Be sure to check out our advertisements, update section and correspondence for all the holiday activities going on in the area this Christmas season! Santa will be in a lot of areas. I know he's pretty tired after making all those early stops. I don't know how he still has enough energy left to go all over the world on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

The (seems like) long awaited day for the Dodgeville Laundromat to open has arrived. The grapevine says this week/weekend! Ka Phan has put a lot of money and work into getting it going at the corners of Spring/N. Iowa/Main Streets - former karate studio and once a laundromat/cleaners.

We had quite the "Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus" Saturday morning at St. Joseph School. There were over 200 people served with nobody going away hungry! There were plenty of "Guest Chef's," including yours truly! There was great help from a group of volunteers from the high school, St. Joe's school and of course the main sponsor, the Dodgeville Area Women's Club. See the above photo with two of our area government people, Senator Howard Marklein and Representative Todd Novak, talking with some people who attended.

The inside at the former Kozelka Wall building is being worked on for the new home of Steph's Sweet Treats in downtown Dodgeville. Also, the sale of the former Corner Drug Store building is set for the end of the year to be a "Mercantile" store! Also, I hear that Prem Meats is going to start work on their new location on the northeast side of Dodgeville this spring. There's some good news as the year nears its end!

This Friday and Saturday nights will be the final two performances and dinner for the Madrigal singers at the Walker House in Mineral Point. It's always a fun event!
