People have come together

At about 6:20 p.m. Monday, a fire broke out causing much structural damage to a beloved global building.
What we know about Notre Dame is that it has been an identity marker for France and the world for many years. According to CNN, while firefighters were able to save the main structure, Notre Dame's central spire could not be saved.
There are still many blessings through this chaos.
Most importantly, there were no casualities and two police officers and a firemen were able to walk away with minor injuries.
Many items of history were able to be saved. The items saved were, the cathedral's bell towers, the beautiful stained glass windows and more. Donors have also come forward to pledge millions of dollars to help repair a beautiful global icon.
This icon serves a purpose to many. It has been existence for over 850 years. It has captured the eyes of many, and has been an important part of world history. When news broke out that there was a structural fire, people watched in mourning, wanting to do more. People have realized that this is an important part of history and it has greatly affected people from all over the world. You can rebuild things like this, but it takes a great amount of time.
It's a comfort to know that when trouble arises, people come together to help. Whether you are a firefighter, a police officer, or a citizen just remember we are one of many.
Many thoughts and well wishes to the citizens of France.
