We actually saw some sunshine later in the day on both Saturday and Sunday. Sun has been pretty scarce lately, but the wind surely hasn't been. I guess the wind is good for drying out the ball fields that have been hit hard with rain (and some snow). It's supposed to warm up this week, but there is rain predicted for Wednesday through Friday and then again on Sunday. You never know if that will hold true though as in Wisconsin it may change from hour to hour!

The Grilled Cheese Championships are April 27th. It's always a great time and to see Ley Pavilion at Harris Park filled to the hilt with people watching the competitors make their famous sandwiches. There will be a lot of local and area vendors there, a game and fun area for the kids plus the food trucks that will provide great meals made with cheese and much more! The Dodgeville FFA is back with their grilled cheese stand for the youngsters and the Ice Wolves Hockey will provide refreshments alongside them. Of course, there's the famous beer and wine area and this year the Dodgeville Lions Club is providing the "Cheese Curd" stand. Many of our "famous"judges are back with some new ones and Kyle Cherek will provide a lot of fun with his announcing. Plus watch the famous cheese carver, Troy Landwehr, come up with another great creation! It goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 27th.

The Dodgeville Lions Club held a very fun filled "Fun Night" last Saturday at the Dodger Bowl. The food was great and so was the crowd. That has proven to be a good fundraiser for them club. They put a lot of money back into the community, so supporting hem is vital! They have a lot of work planned at the Auboretum on "Love Dodgeville" day.

The Lil' Givers held a successful fundraiser at the Red Room in Dodgeville last Saturday. There were a lot of people downtown as parking spaces were at a premium!

This is high school Prom time. Highland, Mineral Point and Barneveld have all had theirs while Dodgeville and Iowa-Grant both are yet to come.

Just an update on me - I'm coming along slower than I had hoped, but feel like I can do a little more each day. I kind of overdid it on Saturday and Sunday. I have trouble staying in on the weekends!

This coming Sunday is Easter. It is at one of the latest times it can be this year as it is celebrated between March 22 and April 25. Look for it probably to be closer to March 22 next year. That's a time to celebrate Christ's resurrection from the dead after his crucifixion. It's also a time for family to hand out gifts and candy and see the Easter Bunny. Families celebrate together at dinners whether it be at someone's home or at a restaurant. Happy Easter to everyone.
