Kriss gets my vote

Dear Editor;
I'm going to vote for Kriss Marion for state senator in the upcoming election, and here's why. Kriss Marion wants affordable health care for everyone, and so do I.
I know she will work hard to achieve that goal, as well as to get our prescription drug costs lowered. Of course I know that no one person can immediately get such a big and important piece of legislation passed by herself. But one person as energetic and persuasive as Kriss Marion can start the ball rolling. And you can be sure she will.
Another thing I like about Kriss is that she has some governing experience as a Lafayette County Board Supervisor, a position she's held for two years. Further, she and her husband (Shannon, a carpenter) own and operate a small farm on the outskirts of Blanchardville where they raise vegetables, a few small animals-and four children.
Kriss loves southwest Wisconsin, and her entire focus as senator of the 17th District will be to further improve the area by increasing rural infrastructure investment, ensuring natural resource protection, initiating small business tax relief, and restoring local decision-making control to county, school, and municipal boards.
Kriss Marion has the energy, the enthusiasm, and the know-how to make a real, positive difference for all of us. Let's put her to work.
