Dear Editor;
I would like to answer the question posed 2 weeks ago in the opinion section "Have they been bashing the wrong guy?"
The answer is NO! Repeating alternate facts put out there by the Trump Administration and Fox Noise doesn't change the fact that this administration took children as young as babies from their parents as a deterrent for coming to this country (admitted by Jeff Sessions). They even told people that were sent back to spread the word, if you come here we will take your children and they had no intension of giving them back judging by the way they are having such a problem following a court order to unit these children with their parents. It would have been so simple to give each person a wrist band like the one they give you in the hospital with the child's name, parent's name and a number that is the same that could be registered whenever that person is moved. They would know where everyone is if they were really interested. Right now there are almost 13,000 children under the age of 18 in custody without their parents. Some whose parents have already been deported and may never see their children again. How would you feel if this happened to you!
Now we find out that at the start of hurricane season, the Trump administration took 9 million dollars from FEMA and another 29 million dollars from the US Coast Guard to build more detention centers. (You are paying for this) Neither the Obama Administration nor any other administration did anything like this!
To use one of Trump's favorite phrases "these people are horrible." I think the people that decided on what new words to put in the dictionary need to come up with some new words because Embarrassing and Hypocrite just aren't strong enough anymore to explain Trump and this Republican Congress.
