"The girls played tough throughout the three games and never gave up. We were right with them in the first game and ready to go in the second but came out a little flat," said Highland coach Maria Wineski.
"We gained some momentum early in the third, but just couldn't squeak one out to stay alive," she added.
This group of girls played so well together and were all about the team doing well," the coach went on saying. "It was a pleasure to coach them and I looked forward to practice every day....coaches can't say that every year, but these girls are awesome. I am looking forward to next year and I wish the seniors the best in their future."
"It was a fun season to coach.. The only thing that would have made it better is if we had a longer run," Wineski concluded.
