See the above photo of Bob and me with Sue Jachimiec, who is located off of County Q on Mount Hope Road northeast of Dodgeville. She is a good friend who uses encaustic, oil and wax in her studio. She has a new studio that overlooks a very scenic valley!

Don't be surprised if you see Bob Kratochwill put some of his painting artwork out there in the near future. He was told by at least three artists that his work was very good. I'm afraid it may be going to his head and he'll went to start selling some of his work!

We met some people from California on the art tour, also from Chicago. We saw some Virginia license plates and a lot from Iowa too!

Boy the former Dodgeville Truck Stop area is looking better all the time! There are still mounds of dirt to be spread out, but that will probably happen after the cement base is gone. All the steel framework is down, so that's a plus!

Work by Rule Construction is going along very smoothly on the West Division Street/US 191 project. It looks as if the pavement may start going down soon. When you stand by Kwik Trip and look from the Division and Iowa Streets corner it sure looks different down that roadway!

This Saturday is the "Trunk or Treat" in the parking lot outside the Iowa County Courthouse and Dodgeville Chronicle buildings. It runs from 1-3 p.m. with games in the parking lot besides the treats and a haunted house at the Plymouth Congregational Church on the corner. Before, though, there is a FREE movie "Casper" at the theatre starting at 11:00 a.m. Please bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for admittance! It is all sponsored by the Dodgeville Chamber of Commerce.

The Milwaukee Brewers had a great run, falling one game short of the World Series. Not bad for a team that was picked, at the start of the season, to finish 3rd or 4th in their division! They really didn't run out of pitching in the championship series - they ran out of hitting! All in all, they exceeded expectations and made it a very interesting season for their fans!

Baseball season isn't over yet, but now we look to the UW football, volleyball, soccer and hockey teams to excel - and the Green Bay Packers to step it up more!
